I’ve been craving chocolate and peanut butter all day, and there’s not a peanut butter cup to be found in our house right now. My husband has been asking me to make some protein bites to have for snacks, so I decided to combine his request with my craving! Certainly a healthier choice than Reese’s.
After spending 20 minutes searching for a recipe, I couldn’t find anything that sounded good. So, time to make my own! The results? Pretty darn tasty! (if I do say so myself)
What you need:
- 1 and 1/4 cups rolled oats
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 4 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
- 1 cup almond butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
Combine all ingredients in a food processor until well blended. Roll into balls (I got 15) and store them in the fridge. Enjoy! Yum!
